Tourists flock to the historic city of Ahmednagar—also known as Ahilyanagar—in large numbers. They explore its historical, religious, and cultural heritage sites, monuments, and artifacts, gaining a deeper understanding of its history and delighting in the experience. Many visitors are amazed to discover the city's magnificent heritage, of which they were previously unaware. Tourists who visit once often become ambassadors for the city, spreading the word about it; they return home happily, promising to visit again. A significant number of tourists traveling between Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Shirdi are keen to explore Ahilyanagar. Online platforms have made it easier for tourists from across the country to access information and services, which has certainly boosted tourism growth. The city sees large crowds on Sundays and public holidays, and the local infrastructure is well-equipped to handle the influx and provide necessary services. The district administration is currently focusing on enhancing infrastructure at key tourist sites. There is great excitement among tourists following the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the district administration and the military authorities regarding the Ahmednagar Fort. I find immense joy in interacting with the thousands of tourists who visit and in helping provide them with amenities and facilities. I love showcasing Ahilyanagar’s famous tourist attractions to the world. I perform this work wholeheartedly; it brings me happiness and an income, while also allowing me to foster local tourism and share knowledge about the region.
